                    New Instructor for British Wadokai!

                    New Instructor Qualified for British Wadokai (Southwest).
                    Congratulations to Jodie Robathan 1st Dan for passing Level 2 Instructor Certificate on the 9th February 2012. Jodie has already proved herself to be a great asset to British Wadokai Southwest, plus she is very keen and interested in opening up her own Dojo, one day, to which we wish her great success.

                    Included amongst Jodie's British Wadokai qualifications; Level 1 Examiner.

                    If you’re interested in opening up a Dojo, or even qualifying for Instructor Qualifications, please contact the BWK Chief Instructor for details.

                    New Club to Open 20th February 2012

                    New Club For British Wadokai & Plymouth Schools of Karate. The Gunnislake Karate Club, part of British Wadokai-Southwest, will open its doors on the 20th February 2012.

                    Training sessions will be from 7pm to 8.30pm every Monday, with the exception of School Holidays. Training fees are £5 per session (£3 if training more than once a week at any BWK-SW Dojo).

                    Full Address Details: The Gunnislake Karate Club. Venue: Gunnislake Primary School, Chapel Street, Gunnislake, Cornwall. PL18 9NA.

                    The Gunnislake Karate Club is open to all levels; beginners, intermediate and advanced. Age: 7 upwards. Price: £5 per session. Instructor: Gary E Swift (7th Dan) Kyoshi.

                    All British Wadokai Southwest Members, who train more than once a week, can have their extra training session/s at a discounted price of £3 per session (this includes the British Wadokai Southwest and Plymouth Karate Clubs).

                    Newly Qualified 1st Aiders for British Wadokai

                    Blood gushing from the leg, obvious face injury, distressed and shocked... Yes, you guessed it. Lisa crossed the road and walked into oncoming traffic…
                    But how would you react to this scenario? Can poor old Humpty Dumpty be put back together again? 

                    Many thanks to Gordon Hoare (6th Dan) Renshi and Horsham Wado Karate Club for organising the fantastic 1st Aid Course.

                    Gordon Hoare Renshi Promoted to 6th Dan

                    Gordon Hoare Renshi receives 6th Dan promotion and certificate, from Gary Swift Kyoshi, within British Wadokai on Awards Day. The award was given during the Reishiki (Awards Ceremony) at Horsham Karate Club at the start of the Goshin-jutsu Course, on the 20th November 2011.
                    Gordon Hoare (6th Dan) Renshi has been running the successful Horsham Wado Karate Club, at Kingslea School, for many years and is one of British Wadokai’s most loyal members and instructors.

                    James Charnaud Promoted to 5th Dan

                    James Charnaud receives 5th Dan promotion, from Gary Swift Kyoshi, within British Wadokai on the 18th December 2011. James has been a member of British Wadokai for over 30 years.
